A little help along the way

Help & Support

Find help with your account, saved notes and BFJ experiences. You don’t need to sign in to read these answers.

Account and sign-in

I haven’t received my sign-in code

Check that you entered the correct email address, then check your junk or spam folder. Allow a few minutes before requesting another code. Use the newest code you receive. Never share your code with anyone, including support.

Which email should I use?

Use the same email each time to return to the same BFJ account. A different email may open a different account with no saved notebooks.

I signed in but didn’t return to my notes

Go back to the experience and open its notebook. Check that you are signed in with the same email. Signing in does not submit a theory: review your draft and select the submit button.

Notebooks and progress

Are my notes saved on this device or in my account?

Device notes belong to the browser where you wrote them. They do not automatically follow you to another phone or computer. Where cloud saving is available, sign in and choose to save your notebook to your account.

My notes are missing on another device

Check the original browser first. If your notes are there, download a backup before changing anything. Sign in with the same email on both devices and check the notebook’s cloud-save controls. Read the choices carefully before replacing either record.

What happens if I clear browser data?

Clearing browser data can erase device-only notes. Download a backup or save to your account first. Your cloud record and this device’s copy are separate.

Sending a theory

How do I know my theory was submitted?

Sign in, review the theory you want to share and submit it. Look for the submission confirmation and reference. Saving notebook notes or signing in alone does not send them. Only the theory you choose to submit is shared.

I didn’t receive an email receipt

Check your junk folder and the email used for sign-in. Review the submission status before sending again. If a retry option appears, use it for the existing submission. If delivery needs review, contact support with the reference.

Can I submit another theory?

Yes. Choose the option to submit another theory. Brief waiting periods and submission limits help prevent spam. You receive a separate receipt; you are not copied on the artist’s notification. A personal reply is not guaranteed.

Email preferences

Does submitting a theory subscribe me to updates?

No. Theory submissions, receipts and sign-in codes are separate from marketing preferences.

How do I change artist updates?

Open My BFJ, change your email preferences and save. You can also use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. Following an artist does not by itself subscribe you to email.

Your account and data

What is the difference between signing out and resetting?

Signing out ends your session but keeps this device’s notes. Resetting an experience clears its local progress; when cloud sync is active, the reset may also update your cloud record. Read the confirmation and download a backup first.

How do I remove my account?

My BFJ lets you remove your profile and email preferences. Notebooks are managed separately in My notebooks. Those controls do not remove your sign-in identity. For help removing that identity, contact support from your account email. Deleted cloud records may remain recoverable for up to seven days.

Still need help?

Tell us the page address, what happened, and any submission reference. A screenshot can help. Don’t include sign-in codes, passwords or private notebook contents.

For account removal, contact us from the email you use for My BFJ.
